Look Good, Feel Good!

Realizing 10 yrs ago, I wasn't fat, it was just that my clothes didn't fit well. (Also, 10 yrs ago, I was a broke ass college student). This realization brings me to recall a street merchant in the downtown area of my city who sells beautiful scents and fragrances and him always yelling his sales pitch, "smell good, look good, feel good", (if you're a local reader, then you know who I'm referring to 😉). His declaration is definitely true! Being able to buy the right items for yourself, and being able to purchase them when you need them, goes a long way in how you physically and emotionally feel. 100 lbs later, I'm finally able to buy what I need, when I need it (for the most part), (not thrilled that plus size clothes cost more than regular size clothes, but i digress), however, I do feel so much better in my person, despite being heavier!
Yet another reason boundaries are important; when you accept all responsibility you hinder someone from learning the lessons they need to learn Photo by Monstera
Self care is difficult enough to accomplish and maintain, so the last thing you need to do is compare your self care to anyone else's
